Harrison College Founders Nurses Scholarship

This scholarship is provided to recognize graduates of the Harrison College Associate Degree Nursing Program.  Candidates must possess an active, unencumbered RN license at the time of scholarship application.  Candidates are those RNs who are capable of furthering their career in critical thinking, leadership, and management in a health care setting. The candidate will desire advancement of their career into leadership and supervisory roles.

Application Process

·       Submit a completed scholarship application by September 21st.

·       Submit one letter of recommendation either from a healthcare Supervisor or Harrison College Faculty member.

·       Submit a 100 to 250 word signed essay outlining why the applicant wants to earn a Bachelor Degree in Nursing.

Criteria

·       Associate Degree in Nursing from Harrison College

·       GPA of 3.0 or greater in the Associate Degree of Nursing program

·       Recognized by faculty or by supervisors 

Continuing Requirements

·       Continuous full-time enrollment

·       GPA of 3.0 or greater

Selection Committee to Select Applicants. This scholarship will be offered to graduates of Harrison College returning to enroll at Harrison College and work towards a Bachelor Degree in Nursing.  Up to twelve $16,800 scholarships will be awarded each September for Harrison College’s Fall Term.  Scholarship money will be distributed in $2,400 increments over the seven terms of the student’s enrollment at Harrison College.  Any student who withdraws, or changes to an ineligible program of study automatically forfeits any remaining scholarship funds.
