Harrison College Teacher Wins State Award

(Columbus, OH) – Cherylee Blankenship, a faculty member at Harrison College’s Grove City, Ohio campus, received the 2011 Master Teacher Award from the Ohio Association of Career Colleges and Schools at the group’s annual meeting in Columbus.

Each year, the association honors teachers at private sector colleges and schools for outstanding service to their students, institutions and profession.

Ms. Blankenship has been employed by Harrison College since January 2010 and currently serves as Medical Program Coordinator for the College. She has been instrumental to the success and significant growth of the current externship program, coordinating networking events with community employers and students, and continuing to lead the charge on the College’s efforts to pursue medical assistant programmatic accreditation. She is consistently ranked in the top 10% by her students as an instructor, and serves as a mentor to many new faculty joining the team.

Blankenship resides in Grove City.
