Harrison College is jumping on the trend. The 6,100-student institution formerly known as Indiana Business College has been improving its aim at the local high-tech sector.

 

Collaboration is key to the Downtown school's family atmosphere.  Even the workspace it has occupied for about five years in Downtown Indianapolis was designed to be welcoming, and appointed to favor conversation, idea-sharing and teamwork.

Harrison College says it has acquired some of the assets of Indianapolis-based Medical Animatics Inc. The deal includes three designers, animation equipment and portions of the company's custom illustration libraries. Harrison says it did not purchase the full agency or name and will not assume any of the company's liabilities.

Harrison College has named Jason Konesco as its new president. He succeeds Ken Konesco, who will remain as chief executive officer of the college's corporation. Jason Konesco most recently served as Harrison's senior vice president of operations, where he oversaw the college's 13 campuses, online division and culinary division. He also held positions with Indianapolis-based Brightpoint, Inc. and Philip Morris U.S.A.

TERRE HAUTE — As Harrison College (formerly Indiana Business College) continues to strive to better serve its current and future military students, it is honored with being named as one of the 2010 Military Friendly Schools.

 

Harrison College hired its first provost and chief academic officer as the for-profit educator experiences rapid growth. Dennis Trinkle will take charge of academic planning for the Indianapolis-based school, formerly called Indiana Business College.

Harrison College has named Dennis Trinkle its first provost. He most recently served as the executive director of the Indiana Higher Education Telecommunication System. In his new position, Trinkle will focus on increasing community engagement and continuing the college's pursuit of accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission. Harrison College used to be known as Indiana Business College.
